After a devastating one day world cup, Indian cricket had come under such criticism that even Wharton School of Management also had published an article about Indian cricket. It was a wonderful one. It gave me insights of the things that were quite astonishing. It said more than 70% of the revenue generated in the whole of cricket comes from India. Whack.. It also said when India tours there nation, there nation's board gets lot of money.O0ops.....
Now that India has won the T-20 world cup, cricket has become very popular in India once again. We could see all celebrating as if they themself had won the world cup. The world cup rightly showed the strength of youth. And moreover the power of working together.. They played like a team with passion and burning desire to win respecting none. That was important. They were not playing not to lose but to win. the attitude which used to be shown before..
And I now listen lot of ppl saying the trio(sachin, dada and dravid) should be completely removed from the team. That is funny though. I am reminded of the old story where a king orders to ignore all old people and orders young people to move to different city. And one boy carries his father secretly and his father saves the boy from many difficulies. The experience is definitely important. But only if it is backed by the strong passion by youth.. U see what happened in the 3 matches played. It is now important to get the right mix and get going.
Ok now to main point.. What can we learn from this game... Well a lot can be learnt from the little game. But one small request to all the viewers. If you can devote a fraction of your time you devote for cricket to this nation and politics, we would have been an advanced country by now. Time is still there. We can always do it. I've seen people doing all sorts of things. Killing the players(mock killing ofcourse), attacking their house when India exited early. And worshipping the same bunch when they returned with T-20 cup. Why dont we do the same with our political leaders, why not with police, and everyone. Its one thing we need to seriously think about.
Ok bye for now.
